Best Honey Sriracha Meatball Recipe

It goes without saying, we love meatballs. They're a favorite around our dinner table, from making them crispy in the Air Fryer to moist in the Instant Pot. You just cannot go wrong with meatball meals!

But everyone knows the best way to take them over the top is to add an irresistible sauce. We wanted to try something different - not just your regular glaze or marinara sauce. Why not honey sriracha sauce to go with meatballs?

Honey sriracha glazed meatballs are almost too good to be true. We say "almost", because they really are that good, and you can make them in under an hour using simple ingredients.

Honey Sriracha Meatball Recipe FAQs

How do you keep meatballs warm for a party?

The best way is to place them in a slow cooker and keep it on warm. We do this every time we're serving them for a party! Believe it or not, these meatballs even get better when they are warmed up. The honey sriracha glaze intensifies as it warms in the crockpot. This makes an amazing party appetizer.

Is it best to fry or bake meatballs?

Traditionally, baking makes the meatballs more flavorful and juicier rather than frying them in oil. I use baked meatballs in this recipe. However, we LOVE air frying honey garlic meatballs! If you prefer, you can fry up this dish using your air fryer. Just follow the instructions in our Air Fryer Meatballs recipe. Make the sauce and glaze the meatballs.

How long are meatballs good for?

Store our easy Honey Sriracha Meatballs in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can also freeze them. I love making a big batch of these to have on hand. It makes for easy weeknight dinners.

Best Meatball Recipes Tips

  1. Try to make all of the balls the same size so they cook evenly. We roll them in our hands, but you can even use an ice cream scoop to measure them out!

  2. Don't over-mix the meat. You want to gently roll them into balls and not pack them too densely.

  3. Keep the meat cold as you handle it by using a chilled bowl. This prevents the fat from breaking down before you cook them.

How to Freeze Meatballs

  • Allow them to cool on the baking sheet, then move the sheet to the freezer for about 1 hour or until frozen through.
  • Once frozen, transfer to freezer-safe containers or bags, and label with the freezing date. They will last 1-2 months in the freezer. You can freeze with or without the sauce.
  • Once ready to use, reheat by baking in the oven at 375°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
